I want to make sure I'm going in the right direction before I do anything.

My '92 Civic hatch with a B18C1 and '92 Civic radiator isn't working out great. When I'm at idle for any extended period of time the temp gauge climbs. Also, as everyone knows, the hoses and fittings are different sizes. It'll get me by for now, but I want to correct this problem.

So, what will fit? I'd rather not change any mounts and I'm still using A/C so the condensor will have to fit also. Someone told me that the del Sol VTEC radiator will fit perfect and the fittings are correct. Is that right?

Jim, do you have fans for yours? Bigkat, once I get this replacment crap settled, it's yours.

Blowncivic.....before you start swapping radiators I would look around for a problem with your cooling system...your temp should not be climbing like that at idle or at any speed...there is something wrong!!...I have a Civic wih a B18C1 and I can run my car at full tilt forever or at idle and it will not climb in temp at all...maybe you have some air in your coolant system...or your fan isnt working???...have you tryed any fixes yet at all??

I don't know. I haven't tried to bleed the coolant system since my last post, but I will tonight. Is the coolant fan ECU controlled or thermostatically controlled? If it's ECU controlled, what wire controls it? If it's thermostat controlled, where's the thermostat on the Civic radiator?

Yes, the DOHC Del Sol VTEC radiator works perfectly... no mods are required. Your existing cooling fan will work. Use the GSR upper and lower radiator hoses with the new unit.
